Anyone who is willing to go on a short hike or a week-long trek can do a Langtang Trek. Langtang region is a remarkable location. It has breathtaking Himalayan beauty as well as a staggering number of glaciers. The area has roughly 70 glaciers of various sizes.
Furthermore, one could argue that a separate trek should be made solely for lake viewing because there are so many high-altitude lakes, including Gosaikunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavakunda, and Dudhkunda. The trails are less crowded, but they are more rewarding. Trekkers could explore both the stunning landscapes and authentic culture of this area.
For hundreds of years, the native Tamangs have lived beneath the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges, in the Langtang region. This region would thus give you a taste of the distant culture, costume, customs, and cuisine of Nepal.

As per your flight schedule, we will come to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, we will drop you at your hotel and let you rest. Later, in the evening, we will again meet for a welcome dinner. With dinner, we will briefly discuss the tour itinerary and the customization that needs to be done. We will again drop you at the hotel for the night.
Today, we will pick you up at the hotel and go to Budhanilkantha temple. It is one of the ancient temples of the Kathmandu valley that has a lot of religious and cultural significance. With the sightseeing of a Hindu pilgrim, you will have an understanding of the Sanatan Dharma and the practices of the Nepalese People. After that, we will go back to the hotel, have breakfast and move toward Swyambhunath Stupa.
The Swyambhunath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a symbol of peace and Buddhism in Nepal. You will have now an understanding of Buddhism. After that, we will go to Patan, an ancient city in Nepal. You can see a blend of both Hinduism and Buddhism over here, thus concluding the overall insight of Nepal and its practices. We will then drop you at the hotel for a night’s stay in Kathmandu.
The bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabribesi is going to be long and exhausting. It’s just that you can’t count on a smooth bus ride there. Syabribesi is a small town with many hotels and restaurants, so finding a place to stay is not difficult. Thus, a long bus journey concludes your first day of the Langtang trek.
Night stay at Syabrubesi.
Today, our trail starts from the end of the road that goes through Syabrubesi towards the river. You will walk for about 5 hours to reach Lama Hotel (2,447 m) after crossing the first suspension bridge of this trek. All you have to do is follow the river’s path upstream.
And by the end of the day, you’ll be at Lama Hotel. By the way, Lama Hotel is the name of the place.
This could be a long day of walking. However, the spectacular scenery along the way serves as a nice prelude to the Langtang region. The river that runs through the forest and crosses a couple of suspension bridges, as well as the places to stop for tea or lunch along the way, remind you of what a beautiful country Nepal is. On our way to Lama Hotel, we’d pass through Tiwasi, Pairo, Bamboo, and Rimche.
Night stay at Lama Hotel
From the Lama Hotel, another beautiful walking day with breathtaking scenery begins. There are numerous locations along the route where we can stop for tea or lunch.
This route probably has better access to teahouses and hotels than other trekking regions of Nepal. Although there are no route markers, the route is simple to follow because it is just one single trail that runs along the river. Today’s trek, on the other hand, allows you to spend the first half of the day in the forest and the second half in a valley with spectacular views of the mountain range.
Night stay at Langtang Village
We’d walk very slowly today as if we weren’t even trekking. Because Kyanjin Gompa is only two hours away from Langtang Valley. It’s a fairly short and easy walking day. However, we would be surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, including snow peaks, turquoise-colored rivers, massive boulders, bizarrely shaped rocks, stupas, numerous yaks, and excellent lookouts. We would pass through villages such as Mundum, Singdum, and Yampu on our way to Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Gompa is both an ethnic village and an ancient Buddhist shrine in Nepal.
Night stay at Kyanjin Gompa
Even though there are few markings, this may be the only place where you cannot go without proper guidance. You must follow your guide’s instructions. There aren’t many signs pointing the way to the peak. So, You need to be prepared for that.
It would take you about an hour and a half to reach the summit. You would be taking the route that passes through Lower Kyanjin Ri (the lower peak).
It would be an absolutely breathtaking view from the top. Apparently, the weather has a big influence. If the sky were clear, we could easily see the valley, a number of snow-capped peaks, and mountain ranges.
After resting for a while, we would leave Kyanjin Gompa and walk through Yamphu, Singdum, Mundu, and Langtang to reach Chyamki.
Night stay at Chyamki.
Although the descent is simple, it always feels quick given how quickly we passed through the forest. Today, we would be ascending to Bamboo through the enchanted forests. Thyang, Lama Hotel, and Rimche are a few villages you may remember while passing the trail.
Night stay at Bamboo
It would take approximately 3 hours to reach Syabrubesi from Bamboo. Thus, you could spend quite a quality time at bamboo before departing for Syabrubesi.
Night stay at Syabrubesi
Just like on our first day of the trip, we would spend the entirety of this day on the bus. Reaching Kathmandu would take about 8 to 9 hours.
Night stay at Kathmandu
This will be your second-last day in Nepal. It is a rest day, thus, you can spend your day however you like. You can use the day to roam around some local markets and do some shopping. Or, you can do sightseeing at other spots in Kathmandu that you have missed. Tonight, you’ll have a farewell dinner. You will spend your night in Kathmandu.
Today, you will leave Nepal, thus, we will drop you off at the airport as per your flight schedule.
