Namaste and welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and provide a private airport transfer to your hotel in Boudhanath, one of Kathmandu’s most spiritual districts.

Boudhanath is the heart of the city’s Tibetan community and home to the iconic Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest stupas in Asia. This peaceful location is the perfect starting point for your Nepal trekking itinerary.

Settle into your hotel, soak in the serene atmosphere, and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner before resting up for your upcoming Himalayan adventure.

After a hearty breakfast in Kathmandu, we set off on a scenic drive to Pokhara (822m), the charming lakeside city and the official starting point of the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. The journey takes around 6–7 hours, following the winding roads along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, with stunning views of terraced hillsides, traditional villages, and the first glimpses of the mighty Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.

Pokhara, often called the “Gateway to the Annapurnas”, is a vibrant city famous for its tranquil Phewa Lake, buzzing lakeside atmosphere, and spectacular mountain backdrop. In the evening, you are free to explore the lakeside or relax before the trek begins.

After breakfast in Pokhara, we drive for about 1.5 hours to Nayapul (1,070m), the official starting point of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. From Nayapul, the trail follows the Burungdi Khola River, passing through beautiful villages, terraced rice fields, and subtropical forests. The gentle uphill walk takes us to Tikhedhunga (1,540m), a peaceful village surrounded by waterfalls and green hills. This short and easy trekking day is the perfect introduction to the Annapurna trekking region.

Today’s trek is one of the most rewarding days of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. From Tikhedhunga, the trail climbs steeply up the famous Ulleri stone steps (over 3,000 steps), leading through charming Magar villages, rhododendron forests, and terraced farmlands. As we ascend, the air becomes cooler and the scenery more dramatic, with glimpses of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. After about 6–7 hours of trekking, we reach Ghorepani (2,860m), a picturesque village surrounded by rhododendron forests. Ghorepani is famous as the gateway to Poon Hill, one of the best viewpoints in the Annapurna region.

Early in the morning, we hike to the famous Poon Hill (3,210m), one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Annapurna region. From the summit, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan giants—including Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli. This magical moment is a highlight of the trek and a dream for photographers.

After enjoying the panoramic mountain views, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast. The trail then continues through lush rhododendron forests and charming ridgelines, before descending towards Tadapani (2,630m). This village offers another spectacular vantage point of the Annapurna and Machapuchare peaks.

After breakfast, we descend from Tadapani (2,630m) through enchanting rhododendron and oak forests. The trail is peaceful, with opportunities to spot birds and enjoy the sounds of nature. As we approach, the landscape opens up to reveal the picturesque Gurung village of Ghandruk (1,940m), one of the largest and most culturally rich villages in the Annapurna region.

Ghandruk is famous for its traditional stone houses, warm hospitality, and panoramic views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli. It is also home to the Gurung Museum, where trekkers can learn about the culture, history, and traditions of this ethnic community. This day offers both scenic beauty and cultural immersion.

On the final day of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, we descend from Ghandruk through stone steps and terraced fields, passing by charming villages and lush hillsides. After a few hours of scenic walking, we reach Nayapul (1,070m), the ending point of the trek.

From Nayapul, a private vehicle will transfer us back to Pokhara (822m), a beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurnas. The afternoon is free to relax by Phewa Lake, explore the lively Lakeside area, or simply enjoy a well-earned rest after your Himalayan adventure.

After breakfast, we leave Pokhara (822m) and drive back to Kathmandu (1,400m). The journey takes around 6–7 hours along rivers, terraced fields, and green hills, offering beautiful views of rural Nepal. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a  farewell dinner , a perfect way to celebrate the completion of your Ghorepani Poonhill Trek.
