Chitwan is one of the most popular destinations in Nepal. It is a prominent place to explore the Tharu Culture of Nepal. Since you can explore Chitwan in very less time( 2 days), many visitors prefer to visit this place as a side destination.
However, there are some green panthers too, who particularly choose to visit this place for the best sight of wild animals, birds, and unique flora. Sauraha, Chitwan is well known for the preservation of the Royal Bengal Tiger and One-horned Rhino.
Most of the area of Chitwan falls under the Chitwan National Park, which is also the first national park of Nepal. People can do various jungle activities over there like jungle walking, jeep safari, canoeing, birdwatch, tiger tracing, and so on.
As expected from a national park, it is famous for jungle safari.

As per your flight schedule, we will come to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, we will drop you at your hotel and let you rest. Later, in the evening, we will again meet for a welcome dinner. With dinner, we will briefly discuss the tour itinerary and the customization that needs to be done. We will again drop you at the hotel for the night.
Today, we will pick you up at the hotel and go to Budhanilkantha temple. It is one of the ancient temples of the Kathmandu valley that has a lot of religious and cultural significance. With the sightseeing of a Hindu pilgrim, you will have an understanding of the Sanatan Dharma and the practices of the Nepalese People. After that, we will go back to the hotel, have breakfast and move toward Swyambhunath Stupa.
The Swyambhunath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a symbol of peace and Buddhism in Nepal. You will have now an understanding of Buddhism. After that, we will go to Patan, an ancient city in Nepal. You can see a blend of both Hinduism and Buddhism over here, thus concluding the overall insight of Nepal and its practices. We will then drop you at the hotel for a night’s stay in Kathmandu.
This is the first day of your Chitwan Jungle Safari trip. Thus, we will leave Kathmandu early in the morning so that we could have our lunch at Sauraha. It takes around 5 hours to reach Sauraha from Kathmandu.
After reaching Sauraha, we will go to visit the museum inside the Chitwan National Park along with Elephant Breeding Center. Then, we will go to the bank of the Rapti River to witness a beautiful sunset, (if the weather is all good). You can also spend some time roaming on the bank of the river.
After that, we will go to watch Tharu Cultural Program at one of the cultural theatres of Sauraha. You will then return to the hotel for a night’s stay.
Today, we will go for a jeep safari at Chitwan National Park. A forest guide will be with you so you will get plenty of information on this and that flora and fauna. If you want, you can later have a jungle walk with a forest guide. On this day, we will spend most of the time in the jungle. You will be spending another night at Sauraha.
This is the last day of ours at Saurha. Thus, we will go explore the Tharu village and museum before returning to Kathmandu. You can extend this trip if you want to. There is a lake name Bishazari near Sauraha. You can choose to go there on this very day and return to Kathmandu the next day.
This will be your second-last day in Nepal. It is a rest day, thus, you can spend your day however you like. You can use the day to roam around some local markets and do some shopping. Or, you can do sightseeing at other spots in Kathmandu that you have missed. Tonight, you’ll have a farewell dinner. You will spend your night in Kathmandu.
Today, you will leave Nepal, thus, we will drop you off at the airport as per your flight schedule.
