Have you ever expected that you’ll actually see a Royal Bengal Tiger during your trip? Probably not. Not everyone is lucky to get to see this endangered species on the planet. But you have a chance to see them here in Bardiya National Park since it contains the most significant number of Royal Bengal Tiger in Nepal.
It will be a thrilling moment but at the same time the most terrifying moment of your life. To experience this lifetime experience, you can simply choose to take part in Bardiya Jungle Safari. Here, Bardiya refers to a district of Nepal and upon its name, there is a National Park in Nepal. At the same national park, you’ll participate in various jungle activities and probably get an opportunity to see the Royal Bengal Tiger.
This is a short trip starting from Kathmandu and you will spend around three nights at Bardiya. You will get more familiar with the Tharu Culture if you have already visited Chitwan. Not to mention, you’ll also get a lot of tiger stories.
There are similar activities on this trip as in Chitwan Jungle Safari since both of these places are situated in the Terai region of Nepal and our National parks. We have not included river activities in this trip. Thus, if you’re interested, you can include river rafting and boating in your itinerary.

As per your flight schedule, we will come to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, we will drop you at your hotel and let you rest. Later, in the evening, we will again meet for a welcome dinner. With dinner, we will briefly discuss the tour itinerary and the customization that needs to be done. We will again drop you at the hotel for the night.
Today, we will pick you up at the hotel and go to Budhanilkantha temple. It is one of the ancient temples of the Kathmandu valley that has a lot of religious and cultural significance. With the sightseeing of a Hindu pilgrim, you will have an understanding of the Sanatan Dharma and the practices of the Nepalese People. After that, we will go back to the hotel, have breakfast and move toward Swyambhunath Stupa.
The Swyambhunath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a symbol of peace and Buddhism in Nepal. You will have now an understanding of Buddhism. After that, we will go to Patan, an ancient city in Nepal. You can see a blend of both Hinduism and Buddhism over here, thus concluding the overall insight of Nepal and its practices. We will then drop you at the hotel for a night’s stay in Kathmandu.
It would take around 14-15 hours to reach Bardiya via bus. Thus, to not waste that much time traveling, you would take a flight to Nepalgunj and then drive to Bardiya. It will take around an hour to reach Bardiya from Nepalgunj. You will be exploring the nearby Tharu community in the evening and going on the banks of the Karnali River to witness a beautiful sunset. You will be spending your night at Bardiya.
Today, you will be exploring the Bardiya National Park. But you would be doing some jungle walking rather than the jeep safari. While walking in the forest, you can discover a variety of birds, flora, and fauna. In the case of fauna, you won’t be coming across dangerous wild animals. You can leisurely take photographs too. You will be spending another night at Bardiya.
This is the third day of the Bardiya Jungle Safari trip. Since you already will have the jungle walk done, you will be going for a full-day jeep safari today. The benefit of going on a full-day jeep safari is that you will be able to dive deep into the forest. And, explore the jungle even more widely. Here, you might get a chance to see some endangered animals and birds. After exploring the jungle, you will also enjoy the local Tharu Cultural dance at the hotel. This will be your last night’s stay at Bardiya.
Just as how we came back to Bardiya, we will leave Bardiya by driving to Nepalgunj and taking a flight to Kathmandu. Before returning to Kathmandu, you can go to the nearby market and do some shopping.
This will be your second-last day in Nepal. It is a rest day, thus, you can spend your day however you like. You can use the day to roam around some local markets and do some shopping. Or, you can do sightseeing at other spots in Kathmandu that you have missed. Tonight, you’ll have a farewell dinner. You will spend your night in Kathmandu.
Today, you will leave Nepal, thus, we will drop you off at the airport as per your flight schedule.
