The Everest Base Camp Trek is the classic trek offered by Nepal. It is actually the most popular trek in Nepal. The Everest region of Nepal, which consists of Mt Everest itself is where this trek takes place. Of course, it offers some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Nepalese Himalayan Ranges. The trail is popularly known as the EBC trek, although it’s just its short form.
The trails follow the stream of the Dudh Kosi gently ascending through rhododendron and magnolia forests. Well, Dudh Koshi means the river of milk. But it’s not. But yes, it’s as white as pure milk.
Since the Everest region is the highest trekking region in the world, you need some days to acclimatize yourself. Namche Bazaar) and Dingboche town will be our points of acclimatization. Besides that, you are good to explore Base Camp, breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Khumbu Glacier, and the exceptionally loving Sherpa people.

As per your flight schedule, we will come to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, we will drop you at your hotel and let you rest. Later, in the evening, we will again meet for a welcome dinner. With dinner, we will briefly discuss the tour itinerary and the customization that needs to be done. We will again drop you at the hotel for the night.
Today, we will pick you up at the hotel and go to Budhanilkantha temple. It is one of the ancient temples of the Kathmandu valley that has a lot of religious and cultural significance. With the sightseeing of a Hindu pilgrim, you will have an understanding of the Sanatan Dharma and the practices of the Nepalese People. After that, we will go back to the hotel, have breakfast and move toward Swyambhunath Stupa.
The Swyambhunath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a symbol of peace and Buddhism in Nepal. You will have now an understanding of Buddhism. After that, we will go to Patan, an ancient city in Nepal. You can see a blend of both Hinduism and Buddhism over here, thus concluding the overall insight of Nepal and its practices. We will then drop you at the hotel for a night’s stay in Kathmandu.
This is the first day of the trek. We will board the first flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Well, it is the most exciting part of this adventure. Because it has never been uncomplicated. So, on the first day of the trip, we’d be getting ready to land on one of the world’s shortest runways. We would eat breakfast in Lukla and then go out on a walk, passing through the small villages of Cheplung and Pakding. We’d also be traversing the suspension bridges.
We’d leave from Monjo and travel to Namche Bazaar, the Himalayan gateway town. Namche Bazaar, also known as Nemche Bazaar or Namche Baza, is a small and popular settlement in the Khumbu region with the best hotels, banking, shopping, and expedition equipment.
Even if you are feeling fine, never, ever underestimate the importance of the acclimatization day. Acclimatization will help you adjust to the growing altitude and will provide you with a free day to explore Namche Bazaar. Every Saturday, a temporary market called Haatbazaar in Nepalese is set up at this height. Thus, you’ll be able to encounter it if you arrive in Namche on Friday. You can also utilize your acclimatization day to hike up to Chhorkung, which is located above Namche, or to walk to Syangboche’s little airstrip.
On this day, we would leave Namche, following the mountainous trail with the best Himalayan views. Over rugged and tough trekking trails and nearby gompas and woodlands, we would arrive in Tengboche, where we would also eat lunch. Tengboche (3,860m) is a small village with a spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Tengboche monastery, the greatest monastery in the Khumbu region, is also located here. Tengboche monastery (Thyangboche monastery) is also known as Dawa Choling Gompa. We’d then continue on our way to Debouche.
We’d start our journey from Debouche (3,820 m) to Dingboche (4,410 m) today, which would take about 5-6 hours. It will be a difficult day of hiking, but it will be worthwhile because the hike begins with one of Ama Dablam’s prettiest and most fascinating sights. After crossing Milingo and a small footbridge, we’d arrive in Pangboche and then Dingboche. You may also notice that the air is dryer from this vantage point. Dingboche is a good place to spend the night.
Another day of acclimatization is scheduled, including a short hike at nearby Nangkartshang, where there are meditation retreats. A qualified guide will surely take you considerably higher than Nangkartshang, where you will be able to witness the heavenly clear views of Cholatse (6,440 m), Taboche (6,542 m), Chhukung (5,550 m), and Makalu (8,481 m). Dingboche is a good place to spend the night.
Today we will continue our journey to EBC, our ultimate destination. We’d be in the base camp the day after tomorrow. We’d start walking and then stop at Dughla, a great spot for an early lunch. From here, we’d ascend over the looming pass. It is one of the most demanding trails on the Everest base camp trek. As a result, we’ll take our time getting through it. We will begin our trip to the frigid village of Lobuche after paying respects to the memorials of climbers and porters who died on Everest at the summit.
Lobuche, a little town in the shadow of Mount Everest, is regarded as a tough site to visit due to its height. In the dry air, observing the Khumbu Glacier and then trekking the Changri Shar Glacier would be a challenging feat. We’d fight those fears and lack of space by dehydrating ourselves to keep going. The travel from Lobuche to Gorak Shep appears to take 3-4 hours. So go ahead and relax and enjoy the circumstances. Stay at Gorak Shep for the night.
The dream destination of Everest Base Camp is a two-hour climb from Gorakshep. Breakfast at the Everest Base Camp, where highlanders begin their adventure to conquer Everest, would definitely be a memorable experience. And, after all of this, we will not pass up the chance to see Everest. As a result, before ascending to Kala Patthar, we shall return to Gorak Shep. We’d remain in Gorakshep to get up early and get to Kala Patthar as soon as feasible.
Sleeping in the Himalayas is an unforgettable experience. Absolutely fantastic! However, this night will not stay as long as you would like. Because we need to get up early to get the greatest sights of those huge monsters. This will necessitate a hike up to Kala Patthar. Because it provides the best close-up view of Mount Everest, Kala Pathar is especially popular with trekkers in the Mount Everest region. It would take around two hours to get there. Following our ascent of Kala Pathar, we would continue on to Pheriche, another popular trekking village.
We’d continue on our trip to Namche, the heart of the Everest region, after breakfast, which would take us around 8 hours. Don’t be concerned about the path; it still has little ups and downs to resemble returning from the Everest zone.
As with the ascent, we would spend the night in Monjo before continuing on to Lukla for our final night in the lap of the Himalayas.
We would fly to Lukla, a little hamlet in the Solukhumbu region, after breakfast. Despite the fact that Lukla means “place of many goats and sheep,” there were only a few in the area today.
Our final day of the trek will be the pinnacle of the Everest Base Camp trek. We’ll leave early in the morning to have the best possible view of Everest from the plane. The remainder of the day is yours once we get to Kathmandu. Returning to the hustling and bustling of this historic metropolis.
This will be your second-last day in Nepal. It is a rest day, thus, you can spend your day however you like. You can use the day to roam around some local markets and do some shopping. Or, you can do sightseeing at other spots in Kathmandu that you have missed. Tonight, you’ll have a farewell dinner. You will spend your night in Kathmandu.
Today, you will leave Nepal, thus, we will drop you off at the airport as per your flight schedule.
